Some important dates and things for you to remember:

Seniors resume on Thurs. 18th Jan.

Juniors resume on Wed. 31st Jan.

 

Concerts 2007 at Laycock St. Theatre:

  • 29th April
  • !5th July
  • !8th November

 

Brass Festival Weekend, 19th and 20th May.

The Festival Challenge Concert (20th May) to be held at Mingara Club in 2007.

Saturday workshops will still be in the band hall (19th May).

Solos for 2007:

Dates are yet to be confirmed for 2007 events. The metropolitan solos will be held on the 5th and 6th May.

The State Solos are scheduled for the 23rd/24th June at Bankstown Grammar School. The Nationals are at Easter in Ivanhoe (Melbourne). The Hunter Solos are generally held in August. These dates have as yet to be confirmed by the Association for 2007.

We encourage all our juniors to participate in some of these events. Playing in solos is a great way to develop your playing and confidence. Start practicing some music now. Don’t leave it till the last minute. Mark will tell you more as we get the information from the Band Assoc. of NSW.

 

Xmas

Thanks Graham and Joan for your hospitality and a very successful social function.

 

New Shirts

This project is well underway for early 2007. The cost per senior will be about $20each. The design was widely displayed throughout 2006. Hope you like it.

 

Coming events

Christmas eve carols Kibble Park, 6:30pm setup.

Australia Day, have received no invitation to play as yet.

 

 

 

 

 

Concerts 2007

As yet the titles of these concerts is yet o be finalised. April concert could be “World at War”, an ANZAC Day tribute.

July concert will be “Brass on Broadway”.

November concert title is still quite elusive. Any ideas can be given to Mark. Also if you would like to be on the subcommittee for any of these concerts and the Festival Weekend please see Mark.
