about the event
This is the second year of the Norm Holloway Shield. Norm Holloway is a current life member of Gosford
City Brass and has a rich history in relation to the band. Until recently Norm was our principal Euphonium Player. This shield
is to acclaim the efforts that Norm has contributed to the Band and encourage the development of players through solo competition.

The competition shield is divided into
1. Junior Solos
2. Senior Solos
3. Junior Slow Melody
4. Senior Slow Melody
Juniors are under 19yrs of age, Seniors are 20+ yrs of age. Any Junior my enter the Senior events this
year.
Competition starts at 10am Sunday 22nd October at the Band Hall.
Competitors are given a handicap point score based on playing experience and ability prior to the adjudicator
awarding points for the performance.
